The Right to Sleep and Alternative Housing solutions - Up Close
David Arthur Johnston
David Arthur Johnston became a recognized figure across communities during the 2008 Right to Sleep campaign that saw his arrest and eventual trial lead to a landmark ruling allowing people to sleep in tents in public parks overnight. Homeless by choice for over 15 years, David joins us to share insights on the 'Right to Sleep’ and alternative ideas about the future of housing for people experiencing homelessness in our community.
Up Close is an interactive livestream where you can listen, ask questions and inform yourself about social issues through conversations with people on the front-lines of homelessness.
